Crowds flock to monkey ‘wedding’…
Some 3,000 villagers have attended an elaborate Hindu wedding ceremony in eastern India for two monkeys.
The “bride” was dressed in a five-metre long sari and decked in flowers. The ceremony took place last Thursday in Ghanteswara village in Orissa state.The guests were served a feast of rice, lentils, vegetables, fish and sweets.
Mrs zym has recently acquired a small sewing machine. I have been trying to pursuade her to use it for good rather than evil, and to make a sock monkey for zym 2.0
She is starting her maternity leave on Friday and i think it would be an ideal little project. But if she doesnt want to make one - i will

Ah Meng, who became the first and only non-human recipient of the Singapore Tourism Promotion Board’s Special Ambassador award, has passed away in the city-state’s zoo. She was 48, which is equivalent to nearly 95 in human terms.
The ape (yes i know its an ape not a monkey, before you all start!!) had met a wonderfully bizarre range of people during her 38 years in captivity. These included Michael Jackson, Prince Philip, Steve Urwin, Elizabeth Taylor, Bo Derek, and Bjorn Borg!
Robin Goh, the zoo’s former head of public relations, hailed Ah Meng’s star quality…
“She could drink tea from a teacup and looked good for an ape.”
What more could one ask for!

On Thursday, the 12-pound, 32-inch monkey made a 200-pound, 5-foot humanoid robot walk on a treadmill using only her brain activity.
She was in North Carolina, and the robot was in Japan.
Monkeys = Crazy
Robots = Awesome
Monkeys + Robots = Crazy Awsome!
