The Hull Ukulele Group (HUG) had a 80s evening a few weeks back, and this is one of the songs that proved to be a hit.
Unfortunately i cant embed the actual video for this, but heres the song for those who arent familar.
Theres a little bit of ‘artistic licence with regards to the structure here, but its a pretty easy one to play. Get the riff right and it will sound ace

I dont wish to be all smug about this, but i reckon got this one right, and the rest of the interweb has
it wrong. All of the other versions ive seen have it in C, while im pretty sure its in G.
Also ive got the intro right, and the riff

Your on your own regarding the strumming pattern, and your probably best working out your own style , rather than copying the track 100%

Last Christmas I received a Mahalo Les Paul & mini Amp, and made a little video of me trying them out.
Amazingly 2,500 have now watched it, but i’ve never quite got round to sticking the chords & intro on here. So here goes

I love this song. I have done for years and years. Its perhaps a little ‘twee’ conpared to some of The Velvet Undergound’s earlier stuff, but it has that same ‘show tunes’ feel that features in Lou Reed’s later work. It appeared on their 3rd album, and was sung by the drummer, Maureen (Mo) Tucker
