I decided to knock out a quick chord sheet for Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash in honor of Bonfire night last Thursday. We’re going to have a go of it at this Monday’s Hull Ukulele Group.

Its only 3 chords – G, C, D, and its so familiar that it was almost a pointless exercise doing it! BUT ive tabbed out the Brass parts for ukulele which makes it much more fun if theres more than one of you!!

Rosie made the one on the left, and Matthew made the one on the right. The were both YUMMM

Camera phone footage of the Hull Ukulele Group practicing ‘Eight Days a Week’ at our last meeting.
I might be a bit biased, but I think it sounds ace. Especially since we’d only played it once before at the previous meeting, and up until 3 months ago most of the people in the room had never even picked up a uke before.

I am a very proud man:D

Oh noes, ive set up a Hull Ukulele Facebook group!!

There are currently 2 memebers of the group. Me and Matthew – but hes my mate, not a ‘real’ person, so im not sure that counts!

It shall be a battle of old school advertising (ie, flyers & posters) verses New School/Social Networking. Which method will prove most successful?
